Strategic Growth. Eternal Impact.

Expanding access to God's Word through leader training, audio Bible studies, and strategic partnerships.

God has opened doors for Gospel Joy to reach new communities with His Word. This strategic plan provides a roadmap for how we will steward these opportunities, focusing our efforts on the areas where we believe we can make the greatest long-term impact.

Gospel Joy International exists to ensure that every woman in rural Africa can engage deeply with the Word of God and have the ability to study Scripture for herself, regardless of her ability to read. We are removing longstanding barriers that have kept many women from studying the Word on their own through our audio Bible studies designed for oral-preference learners. Today, the organization stands on a strong foundation, with trusted partners in five countries and a library of five audio Bible studies in three languages, reaching and benefiting more than 6,000 people. As the only ministry creating audio Bible studies specifically for this context, Gospel Joy fills a critical discipleship gap. Without this work, millions of rural African women would continue to lack accessible, comprehensible resources for studying Scripture.

Current Situation Statement

Future Vision Statement

By 2035, Gospel Joy International will be known throughout Francophone Africa as a movement that multiplies disciples and equips pastors with practical, accessible tools for Scripture engagement. Our audio Bible studies will reach deeper into rural communities, be translated into more languages, and expand into new regions as God opens doors. We will see people step into their God-given purpose as they grow spiritually and lead others. Through strong partnerships with African churches, GJI will be recognized as a leading orality ministry advancing the kingdom across the continent.

Objectives

Objective 1

Expand library to support a 24-month discipleship journey.

A single Bible study can spark transformation, but lasting discipleship requires ongoing engagement with God's Word. Our goal is to develop 12 audio Bible studies that together create a comprehensive two-year discipleship pathway for churches and ministry leaders. This expanded library will provide accessible, Scripture-centered resources that help believers grow in their faith, deepen their understanding of the Bible, and become equipped to make disciples in their own communities. Objective 2

All studies available in French and two other strategic language

Language should never be a barrier to engaging with God's Word. Our goal is to make all 12 audio Bible studies available in French and two additional strategic languages, expanding access to Scripture-based discipleship resources for churches and communities around the world. By investing in both widely spoken and locally significant languages, we can equip more people to learn, grow, and make disciples in the language they know best.

Objective 3

Expand adoption of resources in Francophone Africa

Access to resources is only the first step—lasting impact comes when churches and communities actively use them. Our goal is to deepen and expand the adoption of our audio Bible studies throughout Francophone Africa, equipping more people to engage with God's Word in meaningful ways. Rather than simply increasing the number of countries, we will focus on strengthening and broadening our reach within the countries we already serve, extending into new regions, provinces, and communities. As adoption grows, our long-term vision is to make these discipleship resources accessible to churches across every French-speaking nation in Africa.

Objective 4

Increase awareness, engagement, and financial support

As our ministry grows, so must the community of people who make the work possible. We will increase awareness of Gospel Joy, deepen relationships with supporters, and strengthen the financial foundation needed to advance our mission. By engaging more individuals, churches, and partners in the United States, we can expand the reach of our audio Bible studies and help more people encounter God's Word across Francophone Africa. Achieving these goals will require a growing community of partners who share our vision. Learn more about the many ways you can get involved in this work.
